The Second International Seminar on Medical Cannabis will be held in Chile’s Ex National Congress building on December 9th and 10th. Organised by the Daya Foundation and Mamá Cultiva, sponsored by the the Ministry of Health, the Medical College of Chile, the College of Pharmaceutical and Biochemical Chemists of Chile, the University of Valparaiso and the University of La Frontera.

Deputies from Argentina and Bolivia visit Chile to participate in the Second International Seminar on Medicinal Cannabis of Santiago

Six important exhibitors from Spain, USA, Mexico and Argentina, as well as seven Chilean exhibitors will participate in the event.

Among the most prominent guests are the President of the Health Commission of the Chamber of Deputies of Argentina, the Deputy Carolina Gaillard, the President of the Commission of Education and Health of the Chamber of Deputies of the Plurinational State of Bolivia, and the Deputies Patricia Chavez and Brígida Quiroga.

Renowned personalities from the field of medicine will attend the seminar as speakers, such as Dr. Juan Ignacio Romero, psychiatrist and specialist in the treatment of pain; Dr. Ethan Russo, neurologist and researcher in psychopharmacology, who participated in several clinical studies for the approval of Sativex; Dra. Cristina Sánchez, one of the most internationally prominent scientists in cancer and cannabinoids research; and Ana María Gazmuri, Fundación Daya’s Executive Director.

“In the upcoming months we are going to begin the first clinical study of a national cannabis-based product, so it is important to have events like this, which allow students and professionals in the health field, both in Chile and abroad, to gain first-hand knowledge from exhibitors with years of clinical experience and research in the field”, said Ana María Gazmuri (Daya’s Executive Director).
